 FDR (Philadelphia, PA)
A great place to skate in Philly. Try to go on weekdays in the morning, it's less crowded. If you get there when it's packed, and you're not a pro, then you better just watch your ass. Most skaters go flying at about 1,000mph and if you get hit, you're dead.
This is a park that's is kind of old school, but it is still great. It has two vert ramps (4ft and around 12ft i think), many bowls, ledges, gaps, wallrides, benches, etc.
The location of this park is probably the most interesting. It is right under the bridge. You can hear the cars above you and your wheels below you. Also, there are many grills, so bring hot dogs! FDR IS FREE! Hours are dawn-dusk.

Love Park

I thought I already had this on here. I must have accidentally deleted it. Or maybe I'm insane. This place is a skateboarder's Mecca. But it has been destroyed by Mayor John Street. He tore it down and there is now a 300 dollar fine for anyone who skates there. This place has stairs, ledges, rails, gaps, and anything you can think of. Also, the famous "Love gap" or "fountain gap". It is a GIANT four stair that is probably one of the greatest skateboarding gaps ever. Many famous pros skated here: Josh Kalis, Kerry Getz, Brian Wenning, Anthony Pappalardo, Jeremy Wray, Ricky Oyola, Stevie Williams, and many, many more. Here are some quotes about Love:

"Love park. It's perfect. It's got everything. Big ledges, little ledges, long ledges, short ledges, big stairs, little stairs. It's got everything. I skate there everyday, unless the cops are there."-- Josh Kalis (before Love was torn down)

"John Street is a hypocrite."-- Kerry Getz on the destruction of Love.
